Who Gives Kudos:

Well, so, I guess it's about time we told everyone officially what's going on with The Gentleman Homicide. As of right now, we are not playing anymore. I'm going to call it an "indefinite hiatus." Following our last tour with The Blue Letter, we each found ourselves somewhat burnt out on what we were doing, and because Jud (our bass player) had quit, we decided to take some time off and really see how we felt about the band. During that time, we each separately realized that there were other things we wanted to pursue right now, and we collectively decided to call it quits. I've never seen or heard of a more amicable break up; we were all on the same page, and we all knew it was the best decision with the brightest future.

What's going on now? Well, here's the deal:

Matt and Adam are playing in The Wedding.

Charles Brown has a one man band project, entitled The Penniless Tune.

Max is playing in the Texas thinking-man-metal In The Company Of Thieves.

And I (Ian) am playing in a band called Trumpets.

The funny thing is that we all had a blast playing together, and really have no bad feelings toward each other or the time we spend touring those last months. Honestly, we've all talked a bunch since then, and we really feel like we had a killer lineup with some music we were really really proud of. We had a blast on the road with the bands we toured with, and we loved playing for you guys and getting to meet people and sleep on the floor and be miserable together.

Some of the best moments in my life happened while I was in Texas (I mean, I slept in the same house with a murderer and his victim's dead body!), and I've made friends that wont ever go away. And I know that the rest of the guys feel the same. So, that's why I call this an "indefinite hiatus". Because, there is no foreseeable future for TGH, necessarily, but who knows what the future holds for us. In fact, part of me is confident that in one way or another, we'll all be playing together again sometime.

So please, look for our new projects in your area sometime soon. We appreciate your support- it was a good run.

Shake and bake.
Ian and the dudes.
