What an incredible dude. I knew him for around 4 years, but only got the pleasure to hang out with him about 12 times. Unfortunately. But, the times we did spend together, were unforgetable. Not because we did some outrageous shit, but because he was outrageous all the time. Enthusiastic and hyphy and positive and outspoken and very very honest.
It's early in the morning, and Dewayne deserves a way better blog then I could ever give him.. but I wanted to show some respect to the boy. The boy at the skate park you could hear coming 3 and a half blocks away. The boy who wouldn't surprise you if he rolled up in a Blazer with Lambo doors. The only man on the Earth who didn't want a Ferarri because subs wouldn't sound good in the front. I can agree to the fullest that Dewayne should have had a camera on him 24/7. Daily Adventures of Dewayne and Friends. It would have been epic. haha
After the service and talking to Chris more and more about Dewayne, I feel even more in love with him and how he was. The kind of person that would be your friend until the end. Until the sun fell out of the sky. Dewayne was an origional. Completely unique. The skatepark, the family of skaters, my text inbox... will never be the same.
All I can do right now is encourage everyone that knew him to live how he lived. Carefree. Nonchalant yet absoutely stoked on everything. A best friend. A real person. Live generously and honestly. Live like there is no tomorrow.
