The only word I can think of to describe the Monk/Synrgy tour so far. The shows have all been fun to the point that I don't think I've ever enjoyed playing music this much in my life (and that is sayin a lot). The first two shows were rad in the sense that there was lots of people, lots of drinking, and LOTS of dancing! Thank you thank you Lake Shasta and Ashland. The Ashland show especially.....one hundred percent LOVE. Big ups, you all are models of west coast behavior and I can only hope that the rest of the world learns from and absorbs your example. The next two shows lacked what the first two didn't, but.....there was still plenty of drinking, although not on our parts. The best part about South Lake Tahoe and Reno were the people we crashed with. On Saturday night our newfound, old friend, Adam from chip-chop came through and housed all of Synrgy and Monk plus one lovely girlfriend. He raged us East coast style and supplied beer, (*&#^@, and (^@%&#^%. Thank you. In Reno it was Tim who answered a craigslist ad Synrgy posted. Tim is remodeling a club just a couple blocks outside of downtown Reno (right by the "Biggest little city in the world" sign). That sign always reminds me of The Wizard. Anyway, so Tim's club is a month out from grand opening and he let us all crash inside! To top it off, he had a 20 something piece drum set fully mic'ed and pumping through the house, as well as light fixtures that danced to the beat. The Reno show was interesting........we played at a metal/punk club and there were more than a couple times that super wasted dudes were dancing in front of me with swagger and drunken sway that oozed man I would like to kick your ass right along side, "man, you're alright, you guys don't suck, I actually like Reggae......" After the show we sought refuge at Tim's. I was sad to leave Tim. I wish him the best and if you are ever in Reno make sure you hit up Pine and Center for his new club (I'm not sure what he is calling it). To top off the Reno adventure, the Synrgy boys back winshiedl exploded, straight up, when Clay tried to shut the back hatch with a touch too much stuff in the back. Some clean up, a tarp, and duck tape later, it was like it never happened. Finally, after low attendance shows, and after reno........Mt. Shasta (huge sigh). Kevin and Mandy from Earthpulse came through huge as always. The turn out was as good as we could have asked for on a Monday and the people were amped. Everybody was dancing and shaking, just the way a show should be! Mount Shasta people are awesome. They are young, out-going, very attractive, and free. Thank you Donny for putting us up at your beautiful home and DJing some sick beats late night for us. His little puppy Aesop was adorable. I wanted him to sleep with me but he wasn't having it. The next morning we woke up and drove in to town. We had some coffee and breakfast and ventured back to Ashland where we have been chilling hard. Well, I actually played for a few hours tonight at Michelle's birthday bash at T's, but I am slave to the music game. Thank you to everybody who has come out and supported so far. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!! peace
