Playing at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona on June 20th marks my return to live work since my departure from Underworld in the form of BC vs JC featuring Darren Emerson. It’s a new concept, a new band and a new idea that has come together through some of my studio sessions with musician Ben Cullum, and incorporates his brother, jazz superstar, Jamie Cullum for a improvised set that promises to pay homage to dance music in a way that only one of the best jazz musicians in the world can handle - totally off the cuff! Danceable improvisation

A first time ever gathering: a project called BC vs JC featuring Darren Emerson, which brings
together a unique dream team formed by contemporary pop jazz "enfant terrible", Jamie Cullum, his brother Ben Cullum (the authentic project instigator) and Darren Emerson, one of Underworld..s founders. Matt White (The Bays and The Egg guitar player) and Dave DeRose (Roisin Murphy drummer) complete the one hundred percent improvised band, to pay a very personal tribute to dance music: the finest touch to a perfect house night.
