VIBE Bigger Than Jesus belfast vibe northern ireland clubbingBIGGER THAN JESUS (Excentric)

Sunday 29th June

Vibe @ Milk 3pm-3am

www.ilovevibe.com

''Bigger Than Jesus guys are deffo doing it, they are so dedicated to what they are doing and they just bring the whole party vibe to wherever they play. I've had them do some Excentric parties and I have to say I'm glad there is someone new to take over the mental mantel from me!'' - Fergie

BIGGER THAN JESUS AKA Nick Adams and Pete Robinson are two of the most creative producers and DJ's to represent Northern England shizz! Constantly bringing their hedonistic party vibe, which their poor mama's christened them with, to wherever they play. This has lead to gigs in every major city in the UK and beyond, including an Abandoned Zoo in Ibiza and a strip club in Leeds.

Their recent remix of Fergie's 'Larne Express' for Excentric received a devilishly scorching reception, climbing high in the Beatport chart and they've been hailed by Fergie himself as the ones towatch for 2008!! Bigger Than Jesus certainly have a rather bright future ahead of them.... Or is that just the white light of Jesus himself at the pearly gates, ready to give 'em a ticking off?

Their latest 'Witch Kraft E.P' out on T.F.E Records has received support from DJ's such as Phil Kieran, Audiojack, Luca Bachhetti, Johannes Heil, Axel Bartsch, Mistress De Funk (Radio 1), Mike Monday, Funk D'Void and Tom Pooks, which demostrates their diverse and unique ability to write off the hook beats, appealing to all sorts of freaks! Also watch out for some sick remixes of their tracks from the likes of Audiojack, Phil Kieran, Perc and Fergie all ready to drop soon like a 9 month gone, pregnant laydee!!!

Their inluences of course range from Keith Cheggers to Steven Hawkins. If music is the answer then we are all fucked!! Music is the answer!!! Praise the Lord, JESUS LOVES YOU!!!!

The Courtyard Sessions

BBQ with HYDROPONIC MUSIC from 3pm

Hydroponic Music was established in 1998 to provide quality underground music to the people of Belfast and beyond. Nearly a decade later, Hydroponic nights have defiled the notional blueprint of many formulaic music events, crossing genres from underground dance to roots reggae and seminal soul to classic rock n roll. High profile guest appearances from the likes of Primal Scream, Andy Weatherall, Shaun Ryder, Afrika Bambaatta, Howard Marks and Trojan Records (to name a few) have rubber stamped Hydroponic Music's underground kudos, while a glut of talented local jocks have provided bass busting DJ sets and jaw dropping live performances. Hydroponic DJs have also appeared in cities across the UK and Ireland, including London, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Glasgow. Hydroponic Music has one mission statement: NON STOP BODY ROCK.

Mark Gilliland

Vibe Sunday 29th June 2008 with Hydroponic music MarkMark Gilliland is the founder of Cherrybomb – one of the most unique club outfits to grace the Belfast scene.

Honing his encyclopedic knowledge of music as one half of the partnership behind cult Music Exchange Backbeat Records, Mark has had a
monopoly on some of the rarest real vinyl diamonds to slip through the city of Belfast.

The result is a peerless collection of underground sounds, from the darkest recesses of disco to 50's rockabilly stompers interspersed with a dash of Dead Kennedy's and booted up with a shot of The Shangri-la's.

A flagrant disregard for sticking to the rules is the reason why his genre busting sets stick out from the in crowd. Mark's DJ appearances usually feature as the soundtrack to some of the most memorable nights in Belfast.

Michael McKeown

Vibe Sunday 29th June 2008 Hydroponic Michael MckeownMichael McKeown is the founder and long standing resident of Hydroponic Music – one of the most respected collectives on the Northern Irish music scene. Spending most weekends playing records in nightclubs, McKeown is a versatile DJ who refuses to be pigeon holed - as likely to lash out electro bass and acid house bombs in one club, while firing an arsenal of Stax Soul and Jamaican rocksteady in the next.

Support slots have come thick and fast alongside the likes of Adam Freeland, Richard Fearless (Death In Vegas), Asian Dub Foundation, Primal Scream, Howie B, Lo Fidelity Allstars, Afrika Bambaataa, Keith Tenniswood (2 Lone Swordsmen), Oasis DJs, David Holmes, DJ Hurricane (Beastie Boys), Dub Pistols, The Surgeon, Howard Marks, Blood & Fire Sound System, Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays), Alabama 3, and Adrian Sherwood to name a few.

"Michael McKeown's way with the decks has ensured a loyal following that will happily venture to the edge of the city on a regular basis" The Guardian
