So, around January or so, I purchased a two year subscription for McAfee - which cost $140. Not the end of the world but not cheap either. Every Tuesday night at 3 am it automatically checks for updates and installs them. Usually fine. Today, must have been a major update as I sign on this morning and it tells me I need to restart the computer for the changes to take effect. Okay. I do. I come back and McAfee is no longer working. It appears that this update removed a key piece from my registry and also two files that it needs to function. I download the virtual technician, run it and it tells me that the only way for this to be fixed is to reinstall McAfee. So 50 minutes later, I'm typing this.

I'm paying $140 for this thing to protect my computer from getting corrupted and it can't even prevent itself from doing so. Fuckin' A.
