It's installment 5 of inappropriate song choices!!! Every time I do this I feel the need to give the background context for some reason - but it keeps getting shorter - so that's good. I listen to music in my car as loud as humanly possible. I usually either listen to metal or my 80's collection. And on many nights I drive through the ghetto of Nutsack, PA with this music blaring. Often times the music is quite inappropriate. This is my story.

Miss Jackie constantly claims that if she didn't know me and heard the shit coming out of my car, she'd swear I was gay. And she might be right. In fact I know she's right. Especially right now because I'm working my way through 80's cd's that have songs from the 80's dance charts. At least half the songs on this chart were gay songs...and I mean that literally, gay anthems for the clubs. The other half are just gay sounding. And frankly, what 31 year old man driving around in the ghetto bumping songs about man love wouldn't get a second look. I completely get it. At least some of these songs have no lyrics, so I can get away with it...but then on Tuesday night - came Inappropriate song choice 5. I'm driving through the ghetto blasting the music. The 808 kick drum is making girlies get dumb - then comes the club remix of Electric Youth by Debbie Gibson. That's right folks. Deborah Gibson. I have never seen more homeless men and crack dealers scramble in my life. I might have well just draped rainbows over my car. And this was after listening to That's The Way I Like It by Dead or Alive, the gayest group of the 80's by a long shot. Why do I bother listening you ask? I have no fucking clue why I can't just fast forward past these tracks. But there's some geek shit programmed inside of me that says if it's a song in my collection, I listen to it straight through no matter how shitty it is. I really need to get some Slayer on again and bring me back. Oh, and I have nothing against gay people. So don't even start.

Part 2 - last night I went to the Genesis concert. This was the whitest place I've been to in ages. Miss Jackie and I counted exactly 0 black people, 0 hispanics and 1 chinese girl in the audience. Everyone else was 40 and white. Even the INXS concert last year had 1 black person. Only the food services workers and the drummer were black. Why am I writing about this? I don't know. But for some reason, I just notice things like this.

Miss Jackie and I are thinking about a spur of the moment trip to DC this weekend to see the Phillies take on the nationals both Saturday and Sunday. Well, semi-spur of the moment since we're already planning it. That might be interesting. It quite possibly could also be a six hour drive for $250 and two baseball games. Hmmmm....
