JERSEY ARTISTS HUGHES & RONGO GO NATIONAL ON "PALTALK" WEBCAST TO SAY THANK YOU TO OUR TROOPS

On October 14th, 2008, at 5PM, New Jersey musicians Joe Hughes and Danny Rongo will appear on Gary Baumgarten's national webcast, which goes out to 4 million subscribers and 12 million syndicated viewers (www.garybaumgarten.com). The format will be part interview and part concert and will occur at The Downtown Café in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Joe and Danny met Gary at the 2008 Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival (www.jsjbf.org) after their performance, which included cuts from "Streets of America" which is Joe Hughes' band Goldenseal's most recent release that is dedicated to our troops. (www.goldensealtheband.com) Their message was simple. Say thank you to our troops and their families and support them when they come home. Consistent with this premise, Hughes & Rongo, together with the band Goldenseal, decided to do something to help. Proceeds from sales of " Streets of America" are donated to a nonprofit group called "Vetwork" located in Forked River, New Jersey, which provides essential support to homeless and disabled vets (www.vetwork.org). What better way to say "thank you" to our troops then to support them upon their return.

This year Goldenseal also played a benefit to support Vetwork and also played for our troops on behalf of the USO. (www.uso.org) On June 14th, 2008, Goldenseal played at Fort Dix for a historic deployment of our National Guard troops to express their gratitude.
Over 30,0000 people attended this event at which the Governor Corzine addressed the troops in person.

Viewers who are interested in seeing the webcast on October 14th at 5PM need to log on using the following link:

At that time, you will be able to hear and see (in real time) Joe Hughes and Danny Rongo perform an acoustic concert and engage in an interview with Gary Baumgarten about what can, and is, being done to help excellent nonprofit groups like Vetwork and the USO. For more information, Paltalk has a Web site at www.paltalk.com, Goldenseal has a myspace at: www.myspace.com/goldensealtheband . Danny Rongo has a myspace at www.myspace.com/dannyrongo.

Once again, the message is simple. Joe Arata, President of Vetwork, expresses it this way: "If you see a vet, shake his hand and say 'thank you.'"
