Now in its twenty-ninth year, Mid-Ohio-Con is one of America’s
longest-running and most successful comic book and pop-culture
conventions, carrying on a fun and family-oriented tradition of
bringing fans of all ages together with leading comic book writers and
artists, film and television stars and creators, and publishers and
retailers from across the nation.
When and where is Mid-Ohio-Con 2009 being held?Mid-Ohio-Con 2009 will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 3–4, in Exhibit Hall E of the
Greater Columbus Convention Center, 400 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215.

What are the show hours?The show is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
How much do tickets cost?One-Day Passes are $15 per person, per day.
Weekend Passes are $25.
Is there a VIP ticket package available this year?A limited number of
VIP Weekend Passes are available exclusively online.
Can I purchase tickets in advance?Yes.

Can I pay with a credit card or check at the ticket desk?Yes.
Is my admission still good if I leave the Convention Center and come back?Yes. All ticket holders will be issued a pass; as long as you don't remove your pass, you can come and go all day long.
I'm coming from out of town. Where do I stay when I'm visiting Columbus?We
have arranged to offer all attendees at this year's event special room
discounts at three hotels located conveniently to the Greater Columbus
Convention Center. Availability of rooms is limited, so we recommend
making your reservations early. See the
hotels page for further information.
Are photography and videography allowed on the show floor or in panels and special events?Yes. However, you must ask celebrities' permission
before
you take their photograph.In panels and special events, please limit
flash photography, take photographs from your seat, and abide by the
specific rules for that event. Some special events, such as the
Indie Film Festival (MOC-IFF), will prohibit video and audio recording.
Can I bring my own collectible items for celebrities to autograph?Yes.
However, guests reserve the right to impose their own limitations on
what they will or will not sign, as well as how many items.
Do celebrities charge for an autograph? How much?Each
celebrity sets his or her own prices. Most media celebrities charge for
their signatures and photo opporunities. Prices are typically in the
range of $25 but vary from one celebrity to the next. Most comic book
artists and writers do not charge for autographs but typically charge
for convention sketches.
Will the artists be doing sketches?Most do offer sketches. However, each artist sets his or her own policy and pricing.
Will food and beverages be available in the Convention Center?Yes.
Can I bring alcohol into the show?No.
What is Mid-Ohio-Con's weapons policy?Functional
weapons of all kinds, or realistic replica weapons that can be confused
for real weapons, are strictly forbidden at Mid-Ohio-Con.
