Current mood:  relaxed

6 acts 1 stage your own cargo, the party starts here was the word.

CORTEZ
First up was covers band Cortez. Running 10mins behind time they blasted out a few fans Favourites Kings of Leon, Stereophonic. Front man Ian Whitfield settling in to the crowd very fast. As people flood in Cortez have the first few dancers on there feet. This is a band that has started as a covers band will be enjoying some good nights in the future.

DAVID BATEMAN   www.bebo.com/david-bateman
David Bateman hits the stage with a big good evening Fankerton. This was a great set by the ever flawless Bateman hard to believe this young man is only 18 as it feels like he has been around you years. Bateman belted out a few of his own now classics Caroline and cough between the earth and sky. As fans now sing along to this young mans words, as Bateman smile through his set this young man can only go 1 way and that is to the top and as Bateman finished his set to the chants of do doo dorood David Bateman, Bateman Punches the air and strolls of Stage.

ECHO FUSION    www.bebo.com/Echo-Fusion

this is a band who have no drummer and always seem to pull it out the bag when asked with next to not momentum behind them. They have a rock n roll feel on there side ands with the only man in the world that should be a rock n roll star (Steven Ross on bass) with songs up there sleeves such as Better you than me. And Senses you only have to go and see this bands MySpace to know u have a band that are true Rock n Roll band. This band keep getting better and am sure they will be back @ the hut soon and lets hope they find a full time drummer and start playing all local venues again so we get more of the fusion.

THE LAST SALOON www.bebo.com/thelastsaloon

The last Saloon only burst on to the radar a few weeks ago and with front man Ross Fairweather dressed in a jacket and hat and that was 2 the cheer of the crowd. we pretty much guessed what we were going to get 100% The Song that stood out the most for was The pirate song this had fans tapping their feet and rocking from side to side with a look up on there faces of enjoyment. This will stand them well in the months a head. After only 2 gigs before this one you would never have known. The Big Question after seeing a new band is would you go out your way to watch them and there is a simple answer that is Yes. Looking forward to seeing their next gig.

THE LEADS.     www.bebo.com/theleads

The Denny 5 piece burst on to there home town stage and gave a rip roaring performance There is not much you can ask form an unsigned band with their fresh, quirky, funky indie tunes that got every 1 in the place on there feet.  As This sold out gig was now in to over drive with the Leads boys at the wheel. They are more than a pleasure to watch as Front man David Brown (John Travolta) twisted his was across the stage. With his pure Scottish voice nothing like you have herd along the long struggle of the unsigned music road. This young man has what it take to pull some top songs on to the local music trail and more. My Now favourite Leads Song Rising of the ground had the crowd dancing away but the problem the leads have, they now make it hard to decide what is your favourite Leads song with people never agreeing on the same song this can only be a good thing for the lads who have a good catalogue of songs up their sleeves. It was to the delight of the dancing crowd when front man Brown demanded folk get there tops of I don't think he meant the 20 guys that threw their tops away.
This is just an absolute delight to watch this band and hope to see them move up in the right direction very soon.

THE SHERMAN'S    www.bebo.com/vivalashermans

The Sherman’s hit the stage with a chant of FANKY HUT,FANKY HUT and the Stirling based band soon had every 1 in this Denny crowd jumping to their tune  when The played a 1 of fans favourite The Smile has gone early in the set with a large crowd  singing close to every word this band had a smooth and top notch performance, with Bass player Kenny Mc Donald close to being in the crowd at points it showed the class the boys have and its clear a band not to be argued with. Songs Such as Venom, Obsolete, and This band are very foot stamping, finger pointing sing along band. The Set ended with calling it wrong and you can see why this single got The Sherman's in to the top 20. The Crowd full of sweat and cider were chanting viva la Sherman’s as the boys walked of stage and reminding every1 there next single comes out in April.
