Reminder: Come to the KIS poetry slam/open mic/skit night.
Where: Why, the cafetorium, of course. It isn't just a cafeteria, nor is it just an auditorium! NO! It's both wonderful functions; an eatery and a performance space, all rolled into one! Perfect for dinner theatre! Band concerts! Drill team extravaganzas! And of course. . .poetry slams!
When: Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7:00. Show ends at approximately 8:30.
What: read or perform your best work from this semester or even last year. 5 points for attending, 5 extra points for performing. If no one performs, there's no show!
Who: YOU! KIS alumni, current students, and friends! Also labradoodles! Vagabonds may attend if they are quiet and do not make too much of a nuisance of themselves.
How much: Suggested donation at the door of $1 OR a book to donate to my library (it's a book drive). Delicious baked goods are available for a suggested donation of $.50 or a book.
Why: Because Ms. Armstrong needs to restock her library! Also, it's fun to entertain ourselves, instead of letting tv do all the work! Also, I miss all of you and wish to see you again! Also, we all enjoy dressing in colors that are not navy, white, or grey every once in a while. Also, you really never know what will go down at the poetry slam. The only way to find out is to come. SO COME!!!!
Write a comment or message if you are planning on coming, especially if you are going to perform, and wicked especially if you need equipment such as a piano or something like that.
Read strong!
