New Orleans is beautiful -- the people, the architecture, the food, the music. And yet it's so easily forgotten, overlooked. our attention span is amazing. "sellable" news lives in the homogeny of pop culture, not in the stories of its unique parts.
N.O.LA is a treasure. and still, 8 months later, so many are with out electricity, trash removal, and other public services.
i spent some time in the big easy a month ago. go there, if you can, and see for yourself. it's such a wonderful city full of stories and sights that the news couldn't possibly cover.
