Category: News and Politics
With Nancy Pelosi as a new speaker in the House of Representatives, at least there's a tiiiiny chance of seing some decency in the US politics, though I'm not holding my breath.
With two states still unaccounted for, it looks like there just might be a change in the Senate as well.
Please, let that friggin' clown-in-charge get some resistance!

Not-so happy news, the gay-bashers are doing well, but I don't suppose that is suprising - 7 (I believe) states have voted to ban gay marriage, in addition to the 20 who already did.

In domestic news - 12-hour workday is killing me, we may be moving to Kensington in March, which will be a very pleasant change from our current near-ghetto-with-a-crackhouse-on-the-corner location, and Andy & friends moved to pretty close to where I work, which is good news.
Tonje's visit was uber-awesome, we caught two Diamanda Galas-shows which was big-time catharsis & a kick in the guts in a good kinda way.
Oh yah, and Combichrist & KMFDM were great!
The two KMFDM singers have teamed up with the Curve dude for a new project, can't wait for their release =) Check them out: KGC - they actually played 6 Ft Below at the KMFDM gig; I love this song =)

FABLES is the best comic since Sandman - and Nemi of course ;D

Meh, so many opinions, so little time...

Edit: Doing a jig - Rumsfeld resigns! Send that bloke to the Iraqui front, canonfodder is what he deserves to be, the mass murderer. A thought - I wonder who have killed more Iraquis, Saddam Hussein or Donald Rumsfeld? And who's been responsible for the death of more Americans, Rummie or Al Quaida?

Oh dang... A former CIA head to replace him, oh well, what's to be expected. Well, at least the Butcher is out for now, probably resting comfortably on a gigantous Halliburton retirement plan.

Back to work...

Thank the Gods!  After six years of hell finally the sheeple seem to be awakening.  I figured we'd have a really good shot at grabbing back the House, but both the House and Senate, Dummy Rummy gets the boot (and I hope he landed on his fundiment so hard he can't sit comfortably for a week and has to load his shorts with ice), and Crazy Ricky Santorum the Fetus Fondler Psycho Nutbag from Hell got creamed (and I'm particularly pleased about that since I live in PA).

I cried... and I'm not a big crier.  I think the last time I cried was when my father died nearly a decade ago.  I went outside to smoke a cigarette, looked up at the sky and wept tears of gratitude and relief.  Thank you Americans.  Thank for finally speaking out loud and clear in the only tangible way.  Thank you for saying NO MORE to that discpicable fascist Chimpanzee in Chief.  Thank you for skidding to a halt at the edge of the cliff so we can now turn our attention to stopping this absurd race toward the bottom while spewing money like drunken sailors with a stolen Platinum creditcard.  Thank you for turning off Faux News and finally recognizing Rush Limpballs and his ilk for the psychotic gasbag for pay he's always been and declaring NO MORE.

I'm so grateful that I finally cracked open that bottle of Cristal that's been chilling since Gore conceded... after six long years of hell I finally had a reason to celebrate.  Once we all sober up it's time to get to work cleaning up this embarrassing mess Bush & Co. have made of this country and holding the perpetrators responsible.  I'll not be satisfied with his slinking off to his pig farm in Texas to clear brush in $3000 cowboy boots whose soles never saw a cowpie at the end of his term.  I'll see that snake and his cronies blubbering hysterically for their mummies in The Hague yet.

Cheers.
