Greetings All

Sometimes I wonder if the things that we do in the church are because of tradition or a Biblical mandate.

I am going to throw out one.

Let me know your thoughts.

In a lot of churches men are asked to remove their hats in the church out of respect for the Lord.  The same request is not made of women.

Some so called youth or Hip-Hop churches don't make that request.

So men not wearing hats in the church, is that a tradition, or Biblical mandate?

What say you?

Take care,

BCII

Man -- this is an interesting question. I actually think that hats do not matter, but actually long hair might. A woman is given hair as a covering (1 Corinthians 11:15). I think this verse is talking about women having long hair as a "covering"...demonstrative that she should be "covered". A man also is dishonored by Long hair...

So then, how about another question? would this verse lead you to believe that Jesus has long hair or short?

Anyways -- i think hats do not matter, but actually long hair DOES. That's bible bro!

Christ is all!
