Mama Dearest tells the story of Yancey and her mother Ava. Yancey Harrington is down on her luck and desparately trying to revive her acting and singing career. To Yancey's surprise she finds herself saddled with an unexpected roommate: Ava Middlebrooks, Yancey's mom. Early into the story Ava shows her fangs and claws to tear down her own daughter. She teams up with a mystery man and serves her royally. As all the pieces fall into place we are somehow graced with the presence of the past colliding with the now. In walks the handsome and debonair Basil and Raymond.
I had a hard time with this book it seemed rushed. The editing and proofreading were sacrificed this was not something Mr. Harris would've delivered to his fans. A book with Chapters are out of sequence, no way. Nonetheless it was an ok read but I am glad for all his previous books.
