Where do I think my songs come from? I have this vision in my head that my songs are like spirit horses from the spirit world. They are living beings looking to make their way into the natural world to fulfill their purpose. Their purpose is to bring sustenance, joy and hope to human beings. They seek song carriers who are worthy of riding them. When they find a human who is worthy, they let the song carrier bring them into the natural world where they then offer themselves to human beings. After being ridden, the songs go back to the spirit world where they tell other songs about the song carrier. If the song has been treated well by the song carrier, that song will encourage other songs to trust the carrier. In time, many songs seek out the carrier because it is through this person that these songs can fulfill their purpose.

I have found this way of believing to be the reason for what success I have been able to achieve in my musical career. I love each of my songs and I know they love me. I respect them for the great gift they give to me and their listeners. When I see the faces of people that are hearing my songs I know that they are being fed from a higher power and that the song's purpose is being fulfilled. It's a powerful thing to be at the receiving end of the song's gift. My purpose is being fulfilled and that is more than I could have wished when I embarked on this journey.

I've often thought that a creative idea or expression was brought by something into ones life.

Hi Ronald

I love your explaination of where your songs come from. Your vision is a beautiful one thank you for sharing it with us. I think it is important for us as composers to write about where we feel our song/piece has come from and what it means to us personally. I love to hear musicians talk and explain the important aspects to their song/s.

I am inspired as I read my bible and have a time of prayer. Sometimes my songs are inspired directly from the passage I have been reading or when praying for certain situations in the world and for other people and myself I am inspired during that process.

I believe as you do, that joy and hope are passed on to others as they listen to and sing music of many different genres. Music has a universal impact whatever its message or reason for being relayed to its composers and listeners.

Music is a great gift and a one that we all find a peace and joy from its effect.

Every blessing to you as you continue to write such beautiful music
Vivienne :)

You and your songs are very inspiring. I've recently been blessed with a "Laughing Crow" flute and have ordered another; no musical background except "rock-n-roll" from the 60's. I have always been interested in flute music but when I heard your music ...I saw and felt the music in fluidity...movement....color....and love. Most beautiful. Thank-you for sharing and inspiring. I hope every second of every day is blessed for you and I look forward to hearing your songs as long as the universe exists. Thank-you. Sincerely just Patrick
