Current mood:  accomplished
After nearly 4 years as a band, we have decided to call it quits.

Our last show is planned on August 14, at the Castle in Soledad. A flier will be up soon with all of the bands and info, so hold off on asking questions about it.

Our full length is available for download at

http://rapidshare.com/files/255881454/No_Truce_Full_Length.zip

I don't know when lyrics will be posted, hopefully Rodney will post them in another blog soon. Hopefully artwork can somehow be posted too.

There are a lot of reasons for the band breaking up.

First of all, we have been a band for almost 4 years. We've done 8 tours, including a Full U.S., and have gotten sick of each other. We are all good friends, but try spending weeks at a time with the same group of people in an enclosed space and you'll understand.

We all have other paths to pursue in life that require considerable time and attention, to the point where we no longer have the time to take this band seriously. Rather than putting it on the back burner (as we have been doing for the past few months) indefinitely, we have decided to break up. Herb has begun his career in tattooing(visit http://www.myspace.com/xherbxheadwalkx to check out his work), Tommy is finishing a degree at U.C. Santa Cruz, I will most likely attend nursing school in January, and who the hell knows what Rodney is up to in King City. In short, we are all going in different directions.

I realized one day calling everyone about band practice that I had to dial a different area code to get a hold of everyone. Physical distance is another annoying obstacle to practicing or doing anything together.

When your band has been around for 4 years, you have either "made it" or not. It's not like our goal was ever to be MTV superstars, but working your ass off as a band for a long time with very little recognition gets old. It's just a fact of life that some bands blow up and some just don't, and our band falls into the much larger category of the latter.

It has been an honor and a privilege to share the stage with so many great bands, big and small. Being in No Truce has led us to some of the best times of our lives. We are truly grateful to have met so many amazing people on the road. I'd like to thank everyone who has helped us out as a band, but I know I will forget a lot, so just send a message or type a comment if you are forgotten and I'll edit you into the blog.

FIRST OFF: Tommy's parents have to be thanked for putting up with our bands practices in their garage, our trailer in their driveway, and innumerable other inconveniences. Charlie's parents must also be thanked for basically the same shit. Herb's Dad needs huge recognition and thanks for helping us buy our van, dealing with our old Van breaking down, and repairing our trailer. We owe him BIG time.

BAND THANK YOU'S : The Glory, Killing Kings, These Days (original split buddies!) Flawless Victory, Hoods, All Teeth, Steel Nation, Die Young, Crucified, The Wrath, At Risk, Among the Living, Moria, Requiem(haha), Creatures, Downpresser, Lie and Wait, Don't Trip, Maya Over Eyes, Crooked Ways, Locked Out, Losing Streak, Force of Change, Like It Or Not, Fight Like Hell, Determined to Defeat, Folsom, and a ton more. I'll just keep adding more as I think of them or they are brought to my attention.

PEOPLE THANK YOU'S: Joel Haston and Arsenic Productions, Joe Big Dogz, Nick R, Jeremy Truthstar, Mike Hood, Todd Jones, John Eulogy, Jason Tucker, Spencer B, Fick, Temecula crew, Memphis, Jihad, Nate Xibalba, Danny DTD, Denver Familia, Josh Huskin, Kyle Unlearn, Sam Gnarwhal, Hank Houston, Tobin Houston, Matt Fresno, Mike Milford, Dustin Vegas,Road Crew (Julian (el gato negro), Bdub, Segundo and countless others who came with us on tours or just mobbin deep to our shows with us).

FORMER MEMBER THANK YOU'S: Evan Diola, James Lucas("you failed me!" jk), Jesse Carlos, Adrian Rodriguez, Aaron Gonzales, Tony Aries, Jeremy Truthstar, Kyle Creatures(ha)

SPECIAL THANKS to Frank @ HIFI and Mike @ Escapist for putting out our records.

THANKS to the entire Salinas Hardcore Scene of the past decade for ruining our lives, in the best way possible.

Thanks to anyone and everyone who booked us a show, let us stay at your place, gave us contacts, bought merch, and most of all to everyone who rolled out to our shows and sang along, moshed, or otherwise brought the rowdiness. You truly made this worthwhile.

See you all on August 14, and stay posted for a flier!!!

Charlie//NT

in 10 years, kids are gonna discover whats truly being lost. There's gonna be one elitist kid whose gonna throw your guys' name out and everybody will be all about you. then you guys will do a reunion tour and charge an insane amount to play....and the kids will pay too.

You shouldn't of thanked the Salinas Hardcore Scene... at least I can vouch from 2006 to 2009. In fact, I suggest to start a blog to open people's eyes, give a big fuck you now that you've thanked the ones that deserve any recognition. You guys got fucked by the lack of support and it's such a god damn shame. Personally I think you guys got fucked with a lot of shows that you should've been on (and weren't). The fact that this is so called Salinas Hardcore, and the last show is in Soledad just goes to show how bad it really is out here. I totally feel for you guys, and I wish you all the best. You made my 20th birthday the best day of my life in Monterey by playing to a bunch of CSUMB yuppie fucks in my garage (btw I got evicted cuz of that hahah... its funny cuz it made my life better). You guys all have great heart and deserved a better shot. Now that's it all said and done... thanks for putting out the full length! You guys have done the best you can, and hopefully hardcore on an international level can find you guys some day. The good die young.

I've been flakey making it out, but I'll 110% be wherever you're last show is. Best of luck with your futures!
