(from randy...)

After 8 long years together, Inkognito has announced that, unfortunately, the band will no longer continue to write and perform songs. In a nutshell, we've chalked it up to artistic differences. Over the past several months, it has become obvious that we all want to go in different directions musically and we all have different ideas. We've tried so hard to implement those different ideas and suggestions, and incorporate our own unique sound, (even experimented with a few side projects) but we feel it's best to just hang it up, and go in our own desired directions while keeping our friendships intact.

Inkognito would like to thank everyone who has supported us and worked with us over the past several years (I'd like to name everyone but that would be absolutely impossible- you know who you are). To our fans - we love each and every single one of you! And to all our friends here on MySpace. You've showed your support for us for a long time and that's something we'll never forget.

Some of the band's highlights in recent years include; two recording contract offers, countless promotional contract offers, Dreamworks Records actually held a meeting about signing us once, we were offered to do a USO tour in Japan, we've been on many compilation cd's distributed worldwide, filmed videos, released several cd's, played with some national acts, worked on the world's first ever anime video for an unsigned band, and well....the list goes on and on. (I once even talked to Jesse James from the band Jackyl, one on one, about doing a show together).

However, we don't feel as though it was all for nothing. The lessons we've learned and the experience we've gained will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We had the best times of our lives together, and will continue to be friends for a long time. I've been with these guys longer than my wife, that's something you can't just throw away because of arguments, indifferences, etc. I love all the guys- Steve, Brandon, Mason, Richard, Dave (ex bass player), and wish them the best of luck with their future endeavours.

A big THANK YOU to everyone in the Inkognito family. The music will stop, but the memories will last forever.

NO. The music wont stop, the music will live on!  The writing and producing might stop, but music wont. Music Never Dies.
