What can I say, I have traveled to cities around the country, and everytime I meet awesome, people, and we laugh, and have a great time.
I had the same experience in Detroit, actually not in the City but outside a bit.
My new friends Karen and Dawn pointed out on their hands exactly where I was in the State of Michigan.
We arrived in our room, and to my surprise was all the awesome gifts, Detroit Tigers hat, and a Michigan hat, and two t-shirts and a Clock with my face on it!
I was like WOW, how cool is this.
So Dawn and Karen picked us up and we had dinner then off to the club..on the way I saw a Ford plant, it was the size of a small town, now I mean as everyone I hear it on the news how the big three are failing(shame on them for not looking into the future)..but I never saw it, with my own eyes....there was this huge plant that fed a town, a city, a country...empty..maybe a few cars..it saddened me..that they didnt come up with a better plan..that this had to happen, that plant and others like it, in their hayday were strong and proud just like the people that worked there...now it just look defeated.
But the people of Michigan are fighters and good decent people and they will survive.
So I went to the club we hung out, I walked uo to the bartender and introduced myself, (now those of you that know me know I can be a bit how do you say..nieve??)
So I say hello(as a musician on the road, it is always important to introduce yourself to all the people that run the behind the scenes stuff, the bartender keeps those fans happy, and also work their asses off..so I say hell my name is Christine
and the bartender days
"HI I am Easy"..well this being my first trip to Michigan, I thought, okay..I didnt really need to know oyu are easy, but maybe that is how people do it in these parts, so off to my dressing room I go, to ponder that for awhile.
LOL
I met some awesome musicians...Tracy, and Just Jill, and some awesome people that have been fans of mine but hadnt been able to come to my shows, I really need to come out of tri state area more I had no idea how many fans I had in Michigan, and what a great state and people.
So shout out to Rose, she won the pink guitar and all my fans that came out to support such a great cause.
well we had a rocking night, I think Dawn will have some pictures for me soo, also my new friends Karen, Kerry, and Patti. and pf course Darlene,(stay safe kid..she play pro football OUCH!)
And Mikey Dawns son what a cool kid he is, I loved his shirt, cant remember what it said word for word, but something like I love the boobies, LOL
The event rocking for a cure was to raise money fro Susan B. Komen..I know we will have a cure.
The night was really awesome, rocking, good times the MC and DJ were amazingly in sync, and everyone had a blast, a point in the night after my show I had TWO beers in my hand.....we got more presents a blow up doll LOL!!!
So I go up to the bartender after my set...remember the one that said she was easy?

Anyway she said that I was awesome, and stuff and that she know people that do afestival, and she was like give me your information, and I said here is a CD for you, I want to sign it for oyu and she says, My name is spelled
