I wanted to let you know about some of the music that is currently on my player. Just a few details about some of the music you may not have heard before.

1) "ORACLE" This is one of two pieces that I did as a collaboration with Amon Tobin. Amon is one my favorite musicians even though he doesn't play an instrument! He's makes music from loops and found sounds and his compositional and dramatic sense are exciting and unusual. I persued him for some time, and I highly recommend that you you seek out some of his music. This piece is not released on any CD but I believe it can be purchased from itunes.

2) "THE CALL" is an unfinished piece from a forthcoming CD called "Drums of Compassion" that I began some years ago with the synthesist Jeff Greinke, and also includes Zakir Hussain on tabla, Airto Moriera on percussion, Jack DeJohnette on drums, and James Whiton on bass. I play a semi-circular set of 16 tom toms standing up. It's drum music for meditation or late night listening.

3) "STELLAR RAYS" is from a CD I did with Jonas Hellborg and Shawn Lane called "Two Doors"

4) "BELLA COOLA" is from a CD that's hard to find but has great players; David Torn and Andy Summers on guitar, Mark Isham on trumpet and Terye Gevelt on bass.

5) "FASCINATION" is from a CD with Bill Frisell and Wayne Horvitz called "Fascination"
