Had a really great break this weekend visiting our oldest and best friends near Northampton. Long evenings, bbq, drinking wine, playing music outside, chatting catching up with each others lives and remenising sitting around a chimneya roaring away late into the night .
We went walking through lanes filled with wild grasses and flowers, swallows and buzzards swooping in the sky. We found a pond and watched dragonflies scoot around skimming the water, swallows diving and picking tasty morsals from the glassy surface of the pond , the air filled with the scents and sounds of Summer Ahhhh....
It was so lovely to return home refreshed and recharged, feeling extremely fortunate to have such lovely friends and have seen such amazing natural beauty.
Been working on some new songs I have written too. Looking forward to the gigs I have coming up and will do my best to get to feel comfortable enough with the new songs to air them.
