Well, off I trotted to York the other week to spend my winning voucher in Banks Music! ( The prize for winning the first Richer Sounds and Banks Music Step Up to The Mic Contest) Quite a choice instore.

Les , my husband, and I had accompanied our friend and musician, Bernie, to Guitar Guitar in Newcastle a couple of weeks previously to assist him buying a new Taylor guitar. Whilst in the store I was trying all the amazing and incredibly expensive guitars out!! Fell in lurve with a 12 string.

My first real guitar was a twelve string, still have it and play it at home. I have shared my hopes dreams and lifes loves and losses with it, in return it has helped me create many a melody and song. So I have a real soft spot for thier sound. When I have seen JIVA playing thier Taylor 12 strings it warms my heart with the richness and quality of the sound. So there must've been little wheels and cloggs whirring around in my subconcious steering me to the right place and time.

After a look around the Banks store Les went to look at some music books leaving me to gaze at guitars....and what should catch my eye?  a Taylor Twelve String. When Les returned I was playing it and he knew that I had found a new companion to treasure for life.

After negotiating a very generous deal, adding the prize winnings ,  I walked on air out of the shop , got home  played till my fingers were sore!! I love the sound , quality, warm, full, rich,....... so lucky !

I know that feeling, when I walked out of Guitar Guitar with my Taylor I was very aware of grinning like an idiot all the way to the car, I also became aware of how heavy it was as well, cant wait to have a go of yours. Ian. XXX.   :)

I used to jam with a friend who had a Taylor (I played my Ovation) and it made my guitar sound like a toy!!! They are LOUD!! Funny how we get attached to pieces of wood - my 26 year old Gordon-Smith is like a brother to me, couldn't begin to think what life would be like without it!!
