We got a visit from our T-Mobile rep at work today.  As per usual, I asked him what's new and exciting in the world of T-Mobile.  He said we were going to start selling the new BlackBerry Curve, as well as a phone code-named the "KickStart".  I told him I never heard of it, and he said, "Oh, it's a flip BlackBerry."

Huhwhaa???!

So as soon as I got home, I looked it up.

This thing is an improvement over my 8100 in every way.  The screen and keyboard are both larger, the camera is better and shoots video (something I miss from my last phone!), and it freakin' closes so I don't have to worry about the trackball getting dingy or the screen getting scratched!  I'm not due for an upgrade until a year from this month but I'll probably end up buying this outright.  The only caveat?  It doesn't come in blue!

Anyhoo, things are settling down for me.  My dad and his girlfriend want me to stay around for a while until the economy starts looking up, and as much as I hate to say it I think they're right.  I'm still not going to be home much (especially now that I got pretty much a free ticket to the Funny Bone on Thursday nights!) and am using the place only for sleep.  But it'll give me time to save up some scratch, maybe even make a last trip to Los Angeles before May.  And pick up that sweet new BlackBerry!
