Current mood:  relieved

I'm sure you've all got our show on November 18th at the Club Downunder marked on your calendars.  You don't?  Then do it now, because the lineup is amazing -- Oami, The Ums, The Soft Targets (Steve Gillespie is going to be busy!)... and also because it will be our last show.

Steev & I have decided it is time to take an official break from the scene.  These 5 years we've been with you have been incredible (often incredibly difficult), and we are ready to take on some different roles in our lives.    As some of you know, we are getting our music label, Cloud 13 Records, really cooking with the addition of some new bands, including The Soft Targets and The Grand Canyons.  We feel we need to put PNM on a back burner so we can give the label and the other bands the attention they deserve.

But don't worry -- we'll keep it on a low simmer, so you will be hearing from us again.  We might even resurrect Tangemeenie.  Please visit our website www.cloud13records.com to see what the label is all about (if it's not up yet, it will be very soon).  And please come see us play one last time at the Club Downunder.  We promise to make it special.

with love

Lori G.

P.S., Thanks for putting up with my bad attitude over the past few months.  Like I said, "often incredibly difficult".

lori wears a "bad attitude" like john waters wears his mustache--with goddam style.and that is an "often incredibly difficult" balance to find. but she makes it work caus we all know she's got a heart o' gold. (also, i don't care if j.w. looks like a pedophile uncle, i find him...endearing--and i'd sit on his bony lap if he asked sweetly)

having said that, i call bullshit on "goodbye" to PNM. that DOES NOT mean you should'nt come to the show on the 18th (you fuckin better...), i'm just saying that these two cannot go too long without playing those gorgeous and hard-won tunes they crafted---WE  WON"T LET THEM!!

I'll certainly miss this band.  It was much fun while it lasted.  And I got to meet some amazing musicians on the way.

At the same time, I'm glad you guys have found a way to move on.  I (selfishly, perhaps) wish the best to Cloud 13- it's going to be a major undertaking.

And I hope I can play on at least a couple songs on the eighteenth.  For old times sake, and to say goodbye...

OK, so apparently there's been some misunderstanding between me and Steev as to how I've portrayed this.  He wants to make it clear that we are not giving up music, just taking a break from the scene for awhile.  We will probably play again at some point in the future.  PNM is not dead.  We're still working on our latest recording.  Perhaps I shouldn't have said "come say goodbye".  Perhaps I should have said "come say see you later" or "come say have a nice vacation from the scene".  I don't know.  It's dark in here.

I just wanted to clear that up.

Thanking you kindly.

Lori G.

P.S., I'm fine.    See, I'm smiling.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.  And yes, the album is certainly going to be impressive after Steve gets his hands on it.  Can't wait fot that and for Cloud 13 to get off the ground.

Also, I am still definitely looking forward to hopefully playing the allegedly questionable last gig before a probable vacation for an indefinite period of time.

Whew.  Now I need a vacation.
