McDonald's impressed me with their rapid responce to my complaint.

Last month, several friends and myself were headed into Ohio on a day trip. It was enjoyable for the most part.

Hunger set in so we stopped at a McDonald's in Cadiz, Ohio. I like McDonald's food from time to time but this experience was not going to be a good one.

The restrooms were in such a state of filth that it shocked me. I do not think that they had been cleaned in over a week. I contacted McDonald's over this and they responded in a matter of a few days.

Below is my original complaint followed by their rapid responce. I am most pleased with the way in which they addressed my concerns.
 
 
Hello
I simply wanted to notify you that we made a visit to your Cadiz, Ohio location while traveling and we were shocked at the condition of the restrooms.

Mc Donald's is generally known for very clean restrooms but it was so bad that we did not even want to remain in the building after recieving our food order.

We ate in the parking lot and after having been in your restrooms we had very little urge to eat afterward but it was a long trip and we were hungry.

This was a very negative experience and we can only hope that this is not something that we will find in other McDonald's locations.

Perhaps I am being overly critical but I do not think that clean restrooms are too much to expect...especially in an establishment such as McDonald's.

I am sorry for the lack of cleanliness you observed. Please be assured that we want to provide you with an exceptional experience every time you visit us. From your email, it is clear we did not meet your expectations. Again, I am truly sorry we disappointed you.

I want you to know that I have already taken action on your feedback. After reading your email, I immediately shared the information you brought to our attention with the local franchise owner of the restaurant you visited. Additionally, I notified our regional McDonald's consultant who works with this owner for follow-up in the restaurant and appropriate corrective action.

Again, Matthew, thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your business and we hope to have the pleasure of serving you soon.

I think they've been on it since the coffee in the lady's lap. 
Once I worked at a McDonald's ( years ago) and they showed us a video on orientation about ALL aspects of running their business efficiently, and that included keeping the whole place clean as a whistle.
Maybe they don't do that anymore. I've seen the same thing in other states.
Either way, I'm glad they still get on it from the corporate end, at least.

hey that's great at least they responded appropriately I complained to subway one time and the letter was so ridiculous, they really don't care about complaints.... they even misspelled subway!

Wow...they actually misspelled their own name...why does that not surprise me. A few years ago I went into a Subway...there were no smoking signs everywhere...the clerk taking my order actually had a lit cigarette hanging from her lip. I could hardly believe it. She just gave me that "What the hell are you looking at" look.

Nothing but a thank you...I just hope they cleaned those filthy restrooms.
