Boys and girls
This one's gonna be a killer.
Not only will my personal favourite new band, Alice Grant & The Cool Dudes, be performing, featuring Tom 'Beardface' Herbert (The Invisible) on bass, vox and glockenspiel, Ruth 'FanksGott!' Goller (Acoustic Ladyland) on...er... bass, vox, percussion and kit, and Gingerbrains, queen of crump herself, at the helm with a very small keyboard and a very big heart.
As if that wasn't enough, we also have the absurdly talented Sefa Steer taking us into the future with synth and harp-driven songs. (It's a struggle not to release a torrent of overjoyed expletives- I can't quite believe this is happening..)
It doesn't end there either. DJ sets will come courtesy of Seb (Polar Bear) Rochford. I think you all know this will be a VERY strong look.
As the line up was looking so ginger-hot, I figured the only thing to do was to lower the creative tone, so I've started something up with Tom (Def Langoustine) Skinner. I have to be honest - it doesn't actually exist yet, but it will do by thursday. We have a name- Smashed On Sours. And we're developping a concept, which may involve covering the music of our friends/bands we've been in/ourselves/maybe just stuff we're into... Pretty vague, huh?
Whatever it is, it well be fresh and raw and not necessarily very good.
We welcome your support.
All my love
