       Still Packing

Overflowing bookcases.
Stacks of cardboard boxes.

“Oh, I haven’t read that novel yet.”

Aching back.

Thanks.

We do too. Would love to have you and Dixie here to keep us laughing.

Picturing you and Connie gazing at each other tearfully, one word trembling between you . . . "K-Kindle . . . Kin . . . Dle . . . " But the backrubs you'll exchange tonight might make all the boxes worth it.

You're too funny, Cate.

Believe me. We have mentioned the word a few times. We'd already be moved if we had one.

A list of some of what goes with moving (which I hate!) I hope the back soon feels better and that the move is finished. Hugs!

Thanks, Karen. I need all the support I can get during this endeavor. A big hug for you.

You gotta move once every 2-3 years from now on, just to stay in shape, you guys.

We uncovered our weight set, which was stuck under the couch, and are selling the really heavy weights in our upcoming garage sale, but definitely keeping the medium and lightweight ones.

That's a lot easier than moving.

Thanks, Inky. I haven't moved in twenty years, so this is a shock to my system.

So you really are officially moving then? Congratulations on that - but oh! The luck and strength I wish you during the process!

That aside - succinct, wry, and perfect!

Yes, we're really moving, and I'm hot, sweaty, and filthy right now from cleaning out a flower bed at our new house. We're shuttling back and and forth between them right now.

I appreciate your comments on my poem, Jamie.

We're hanging. Just back home after a three-day stint of work on the new house. We hope to be totally moved in a month.
