MiCasa's empty dudes, gone cutting some plastic in the Horseshoe with fader gazer Dan Weston. Shout it, "Eight Days!" cuz we're donezy negative perpetual time you turtles; HARE WINS! Before the hot potato hits the oven we'll be marinating the tunes at 'Chateau Weston.' We fueled the earsys live with the sauteed song muffin's before, and WE DRAINED THE STOOL, saved the meat and are cooking the potatoes.
The album drops with the temperture, so chew it this fall.
TRANSLATION:
We started pre-production with producer Dan Weston (westonruinedmyrecord.com) for our new record last night at 7pm eastern. We'll spend four days in Dan's Mississauga studio, re-arranging the songs and making decisions about boring technical stuff, then we head to Jukasa Studios outside Hamilton with the plan of having six songs completed by August 10th. We're taking a bit of a new approach to this record, only giving ourselves eight days to record. The idea is to have the critical arrangement decisions made before we even get to Jukasa. We've had time to test the songs in front of a live audience, thereby weeding out the crap so to speak. It'll keep us from over-thinking as well, something we've found is important to avoid. The end product will be a recreation of our live sound, without too much in the way of studio "bells and whistles".
Dan's going to have the final mix at the end of August, so a fall release is in the works. We'll be in touch.
