Howdy, Hammer'uns!A quick note to mark another notch in the decline of civilization, represented by your part-time heroes, Delicate Hammers, appearing in the City Life section of Manchester Evening News this Friday. This will happen merely hours before we assume the mantle of performers once again at Blowout in the Irish Club. We sincerely hope to fuck that there are more people there than Master Egg and I witnessed with our good lady-ladies last Friday. We want to crack the weekend another eyehole. We had someone take photos of us on Tuesday before we played, a guy called Nathan with slightly strange teeth; but as we hadn't flexed all of our usual creative muscles beforehand, we aren't sure how artily they might emerge. Nothing too urban and Manc and moody, we pray.
The conversation we had with David Sue of MEN was also quite rambling; and while we touched on some worthy topics - what we hope to infect and contaminate, the nature of being in a band, how shit The Courteeners are - who can guess what distillation will emerge tomorrow?
Should be a lot more use than the Jobs supplement anyway. The Jobs Mine has collapsed, all hands lost.
Shinbones crossed.
Coc o' Hammers xx
