Threadgill's on North Lamar is the original Threadgills. It's where Janis Joplin got her start and Jimmie Dale Gillmore crooned in the 80s.. It's an amazing piece of Austin's history.

It's in a crap location though... between auto shops and furniture places. Not many restaurants around there.

But, Eddie Wilson (owner) is convinced that if you go there, just once, you'll fall in love with the food, the folks, and the heritage that is Threadgills...and you'll be back over and over.
