it looks as though each day has been getting cooler, looks like summers gone.
god damnit.
we actually had a lot of fun, were really busy, and made good progress. i guess thats why it seemed to go by so quickly. we spent the most time in philly this summer, we played out at a bunch of popular small/mid sized bars and clubs. the north star with willpowerless was a blast, we really enjoyed playing there. we will be playing more shows with those guys in the near future: doc watsons next month and northern lights in dec. another band we paired up with quite a bit is vice royal, really cool guys that are always open to put on a good show with us. all in all, the shows this summer went really well.
we have also been working with two new people on booking and promotion for the band. eric and key. erics from north jersey and key is from philly. both of them are as hungry as we are and we really appreciate their help. eric put together some good shows this summer including the stone pony and the bowery artist showcase a few weeks ago. key hooked us up with vice royal and arranged for two larger shows this year: public assembly and northern lights in ..heres also talks of a mini tour including us later this year or early next year. were pumped to continue working with these guys
if youve been out to any of our shows this summer, you probably noticed that most of our set isnt on the current album. weve written just about a whole albums worth of material and will be getting back into the studio in october to start recording the next album. well probably release it early next year. instead of going to a studio and having me spend all my damn money, were going to do all the recording, mixing, mastering, and production by ourselves. weve gotten the ok from a few of our friends to use their gear, or space. were sure this next album is going to be even better than the last one.
