Receives Two BOSTON MUSIC AWARDS Nominations!

BOSTON MA -- (September 20, 2006 DMPR) -- Mieka Pauley, the celebrated Cambridge singer/songwriter whose superb song "Stronger" is officially in rotation on WBOS 92.9 (Boston), has been honored with nominations in the categories of Outstanding Female Singer/Songwriter and Outstanding Local Female Vocalist by the Boston Music Awards Nomination Committee.
These coveted nominations are just the latest accolades to come Mieka's way during a busy Summer that has seen her sharing the stage with such celebrated acts as Edie Brickell And The New Bohemians and World Party, getting profiled in such high-profile entertainment magazines as PERFORMER, and even singing the National Anthem for the Boston Red Sox at Fenway! Her latest release, the five-song EP Out Of Car Wrecks And Hurricanes, was produced by John Alagia (whose previous credits include albums for the Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Rachel Yamagata, Lifehouse, and many more) is available at iTunes.
The Boston Music Awards nominees were chosen by a committee comprised of over 400 regional music industry professionals. The committee has been instrumental in championing the finest exponents of the New England music scene for the past 18 years.
The 19th Annual Boston Music Awards will be held at the Avalon Ballroom on Wednesday, September 27th, 2006.
