hello, yes it has been a long time,
i am happy to announce tourdates & the official unveiling of my new record.
i'll be playing with mirah in her band for her east coast tour starting next week. i've enclosed the itinerary, and i sincerely hope you will come out--especially you old friends from jersey. (pass this along to old friends from jersey, please)
my new record, "from the mouth of the jar," will be available for the first time on this tour. it's a limited-edition release, replete with homespun, treasure-laden artwork.
upon return from tour, there will be an impossibly sumptuous celebration in san francisco to ceremoniously release the record. probably the second weekend in august; i will send the date when it is confirmed. imagine a bedsheet big-top in the summer air, lit by lanterns and held by branches, buoyed by white balloons, eating lavender whipped cream & blueberries, listening to many friends' wonderful songs. we're talking togetherness, man. love-forever-2007-fest.
