Hey Everyone! It's been a while but I haven't really wanted to say anything till now. I just got done reading Demo by Brian Wood and I can say it honestly affected me. There were a few stories that hit so close to home I almost cried. The stories "Break-Up", "The Last night with you", and "mixtape" spring to mind. While all the stories were excellent and I had something in common with all of them those three really have a reasonance with me. First of all the "Break-Up", which was almost (and I know it is for a lot of people) a transcipt of my break up with the first girl I loved and it even gives a little insight into what I'm dealng with now. Almost the same things were said to me and I mostly said what was written and that really hit home. Mixtape was such a romantic but also horrible view of what would happen, and in this case my worst nightmare would be. How to deal or actually how to not deal and being able to let go. Brian's abiltity to show us such raw emotion over his words and Becky's drawing is amazing. Last but not least "The Last Night With You" Such a beautful liittle story about people in love. REAL love that would make people do anything for each other. Who aren't really a couple but more of a whole person when they're  together. The ending was a total shock and blew me away with what the story meant and how can people be in love when something like that happens? But if you look at the human condition like Brian did you can see that it's not crazy or something never seen before. Brian just shines the light to what's inside of us. I'm constantly wondering like many characters in ths book, will somone love me? Does someone love me? (of course I mean this ina romantic sense I have some of the best friends in the world and a great family). Am I not good enough? All the things that humans feel and go through are shown in this book and this book is one of the reasons I love comics, good people, and hopfully somone else. This isn't just entertainment. This isn't just art. It's a map of the human condition and it is a beautiful but somtimes hard look at each and everyone of us.
