Yo, it's really funny cuz I was listening to this record the other day.... I think my love for the Mizell Bros productions comes from the 2nd Digable Planets LP where they jacked a couple of their joints. Those guys are genius, they really made every artist they produced who they are, Bobby Humphrey has another one on Bluenote pre-Mizell and it's really not all that. The same thing with Donald Byrd's post-Mizell work....some of it's ok but nothing compares to those Mizell years.....PERIOD!!! I dunno if you got it already but I think Johnny Hammond's "Shifting Gears" LP on Milestone is track for track their best best work. The entire LP is without flaw.... head nodders and ill dancefloor joints!! Holla at a digga when u see him in the crates...... EZ
