blog blog bloggedy blog blog!
So it's been ages since the last update, we apologize for that, but we've luckily been busy recording, mixing, mastering, playing shows, doing other music projects, working and attending school..
It's with a great pleasure that I announce that our first release "Lightbulb Universe" is completely finished with beautiful artwork and it's all being printed as we speak. Right now. In Germany, sweet Germany. I know. It's awesome.
Kimi Records have become our new friends and are going to help us distribute this release, we have really enjoyed the bands that they keep under their roof, admire their hard work and truly are looking forward to be working together in the future! I think beginning of December is the release date so far, (between the first and the fifth), but who knows, some mullet might get caught in the printer machine and everything blows up in the factory, a mullet massacre and our release might be pushed further towards christmas.... but that is hopefully not going to happen...
Wow, by the way! Did we even have the time to talk about Iceland Airwaves???
What a fantastic week! Really! I think we did 8 shows in 10 days and luckily my voice and Keli's perm lasted all the shows! Many great bands we played with during those ten days, among them, icelandic Mammút, Dikta, Mugison, Vicky, We Made God and internationally known Biffy Clyro to name a few, and our performance at the Kerrang Night at Nasa earned us a full house review in the Kerrang magazine, 5 k's! (review included in the bottom, stole it from We Made God's myspace, shhhhh, and get a load of my whiney face, holyfield that's fucked up, I do apologize if I do look like that on stage, I'm actually a pretty happy fellow)
The fact that Kerrang, being a magazine i bought frequently in my perverted pimple days, gave us a full house totally blew me personally away, very nostalgic and nothing but a tremendous honor to be have our name written on ink.
We'd like to thank each and every one of you, who made it out to Nasa and got in (heard there was a bongo line outside of Nasa during our show), this was really a night never to forget, what an atmosphere, heartfelt thanks to you and the Mr. Destiny crew, who once again put up the party of the year, glad to see everything went amazingly well, especially in these difficult times in Iceland.
Oh, and i made a guest appearence with Dikta on Iceland Airwaves, singing the song "Chloe" with these marvelous, sexy bunch of lads, a shout out to you guys, it was an honor and a pleasure, thanks for the backstage snack and drinks, see you at the next party!
I think that's about it for now, got work to do!
So, hope that you all will be there for the release party, more on that in the next blog!
Until then, stay frrrrresh and healthy!
Much love
Arnór and the Frescos
