Hello, yes, yes, let's do this!
KRAUMUR AWARDS:
On the same day, when we held the first copies of our debut release in our hands, we received an award from the Kraumur Fund (www.kraumur.is), acknowledging our EP "Lightbulb Universe" as one of the top 6 releases in Iceland this year...
For us, this is an incredible honor... I'm actually having trouble finding the right words to describe how we felt and how we feel this day today... of course madly thankful for the work Kraumur does and for all the judges, who worked for FREE to decide which releases were the most promising ones. The whole thing is simply just brilliant. BRILLIANT, and to accept the award among 5 other great icelandic acts, whom we know/admire/love just made the whole thing that spoonful extra sweeter, yum yum.
If you're up for fresh new music, do me the favor and check out these releases okay!
Congrats to the following beauties (go to www.kraumur.is for the full list of nominees):
FM Belfast - How to Make Friends
Hugi Guðmundsson - Apocrypha
Ísafold - All Sounds to Silence Come
Mammút - Karkari
Retro Stefson - Montaña

What a year for us this has been...
BUT, the year is not over yet.
GLOBAL BATTLE OF THE BANDS:
We are going to London to represent Iceland in the Global Battle of the Bands competition in what, two weeks.
Pretty damn excited, not a lot of foreign possibilities for us in the near future, due to the horrible financial situation here in Iceland, so we are def. going to enjoy the trip as much as we can in any way possible... Looking forward to listen to new music, meet and connect with the other bands, enjoy watching boggi sleep on the plane, eat a lot of excellent... english... food aaaand play our hearts out, for our music and for our country, as tacky as that may sound... and yeah, we're basically just looking very much forward to be playing in England!
SKÍTATÚR!
HALLÓ HALLÓ HALLÓ!!!
So we did a mini tour with Dr. Spock and Slugs, started wednesday and ended sunday night. The outcome of people was small at the different locations, but fuck, quantity never equals quality, a special shout out to the fine people of Akranes, who somehow, made the movie theater sound like a crowded football stadium, we also would like to send our thanks to the people of Keflavík, Stykkishólmur and Laugarvatn for showing up, sharing their ears and for buying our EP. I think we're already talking about a Skítatour pt. 2, so.... stay...... erh...... put?
Dr. Spock have for a long time been favourites of ours, being the first band we played with, definitely check out their new album, Falcon Christ out now! Thanks a million for inviting us guys and thanks to Slugs for being a part of the tour. Múah múah múúúah!!!
LIGHTBULB UNIVERSE
GUYS!!! IT's fucking out, it is out, it is out out out out...
For the people living in Iceland, it should be out in the following stores:
Skífan, Eymundson, 12 Tónar and Smekkleysa (Naked Ape to be added on that list)
And it's available online at www.tonlist.is
For you outside Iceland, i think http://kimi.grapewire.net/ is your best bet, should be up tomorrow!
In January it should be available through most online stores, such as Itunes and
IMPORTANT NOTE:
It's ALWAYS cheeper to buy the EP directly from us. We will be selling the EP at our shows and for a lower price AND we get more money through those sales and not at the shops where they raise the price to cover other costs, shitty, but understandable.... almost...
So please do come to our shows and support us, I think we're only playing one show before we leave to London and that's going to be at Kaffibarinn on Thursday the 4th of December at 9:00 pm, it's going to be free and a load of fucking fun.
This blog probably contains a million errors, so I'll stop before it all goes to hell, I think I've said enough, please if you have any questions regarding the EP, our music, Keli's hair or our shoe sizes feel free to write us any time, either as a message or a comment to this blog okay!
Perfect.
Kisses
Arnór
