Healing Sound
Sound has an under valued and incredibly important impact on our well-being. We are very basically made up of miniscule pieces of vibrating sub-atomic particles. Expose those particles to sound and their vibration changes. Expose us to sound and our whole being responds and shifts on a cellular level. Right now the sound of your computer as well all the low frequency sound waves vibrating around you subliminally is actually shape-changing your cells. And you have the ability to retune yourself to a healthier feeling or vibration. Turn on some music that grabs you, get really into it and focus on the music, get up and dance around or sing to really get it into your body. Feel good? Any time we're feeling cruddy; tuning into the right music or, much more powerfully, voicing through song or instruments has the ability to bring us through the crud into a better state of vibration. This is sound healing at it's most basic and accessible form. Delving a little deeper into the art of sound, we actually have the ability to retune our old mind-sets, vibrate our way through disease and depression, get in touch with "lost" parts of our selves, and literally expand our minds. Some of this work requires the help of the more talented "sound healers", but much can be accomplished with the right tools and knowledge. To be able to "tune" ourselves is one of our greatest gifts.
Beat Frequencies
Beat frequencies are one of the tools available in sound healing, meditation, or just feeling good. This frequency can be tuned to match the frequencies of our brain in various states of consciousness. This is basically how "mind machines" and subliminal tapes work: By setting up a series of beat frequencies to bring your mind to a receptive state of conscience. Best results are had when tuning the beat frequency to help lead one into a Theta mind state. Theta is the most intuitive state of mind between asleep and awake. It's the only time the two halves of the brain synchronize, and your mind is literally expanded. It's where most forms of meditation intend to take you.
Sound is an Arrangement of Frequency PatternsArrangements of sound have been known to affect the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual states. The ability of music to positively or negatively affect health, character, mood and consciousness have been known since ancient times. It is one of the oldest therapies, and used by all cultures to facilitate healing, meditation and religious experience. Biochemical and Physical EffectsMusic affects pulse rate, skin temperature, blood pressure, muscle tension, and brain wave activity. It helps release biochemicals, such as endorphins. It relaxes, excites, releases emotions, and helps to travel to altered states of consciousness. Sound, Water and Internal MassagesOur body is 80% water, and sound travels much faster in water than in air. Physiotherapists use ultrasonic to create internal massage, as do the bowls and forks. Inducing a Stillpoint Reformats the BodySound affects the central nervous system and can help the body reorganize itself in a different way. It is believed that reformatting the arrangement at the cellular level and DNA. Opening Up ConsciousnessInformation travels though neurons. It transmits electro-chemically properties of cell to transmit information freely moving vibration can stimulate neurons to make more connections. Increases Meditative and Calm StatesAlpha wave patterns increase in the brain during meditation and calm states. SynchronizationEntrainment is a principle of physics in which the stronger vibrations of one object will cause the weaker vibrations of another object to begin oscillating at the same time as the other. The cellular structure will begin to pulse in harmony. Natural HarmoniesThe whole universe and everything arranges itself in mathmatical proportions the way music does. All of the theoretical combinations and connections can relate to each other in musical terms and in numerological which can be transposed to a musical scale. Sound PioneersListed are examples of a few sound pioneers and scientists Ernest Chladini, an 18th century physicist found that playing a violin near a sand covered disk caused the sand to form geometric shapes. Hans Jenny, in the 1930's, Swiss sound researcher, created a wide range of natural shapes, such as honeycombs and shells, by vibrating sand, liquids, powders and metal disks at different frequencies. Cymatics: the study of sound waves and form phenomena. Coustos discovered in the1940's that the planet's rotation can be mathematically translated to audible rhythms and sound in terms of cycles of Hertz. These calculations determine the Acutonics(tm) tuning fork frequency. Christopher Huygens, a Dutch scientist in 1665 discoverd the entrainment of clocks whose pendula are set swinging asynchronously will synchronize to a rhythm of the dominant clock.
A Little Deeper..
Quantum physics and science are only now discovering what the mystics and ancient cultures knew long ago about the power of sound. Plato called the universal sound "the Music of the Spheres." Eastern cultures refer to it as the "Divine Melody" or "Sacred Sound." In Christian teachings, it is called "the Word."
Everything that we see in our physical reality is now known to be a reflection of underlying cosmic musical patterns - Divine Chords, Progressions, Harmonics, Cosmic Octaves and - the Sacred Fifth. The Golden Mean of the Greeks is the harmonic, the mathematical pattern created by the Sacred Fifth in three- dimensional space. This pattern is expressed everywhere in nature and the Universe. From the double helix of DNA, to the spirals in flowers and galaxies, all reality is created by a cosmic symphony. The Carbon atom, the very basis of our Universe, has a "singing" 5-tone scale, the same scale found in Gregorian chants. The Periodic Table of Elements and the orbits of the planets are all based on patterns of musical intervals.
DNA has been found to be extremely sensitive to musical frequencies. When humans get sick, they have simply gone out of tune, just as musical instruments do. Music naturally retunes the body to its proper harmonic vibration and rhythm by allowing the body and brain to absorb special resonant sounds, notes and chords such as those produced by instruments like chimes, Tibetan singing bowls, medicine drums and rattles or the human voice. This "vibrational massage" amplifies and spreads healing harmonic patterns throughout the body and brain able to re-program your very DNA.
...NOW THATS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT NEXT TIME YOU NOD YOUR HEAD TO THE BEAT..!
