What happened to the the "holiday" I loved the most? I used to look foreword to it every year as a kid, now it just seems to be dying out or becoming a party day. Each year we get less and less trick or treaters and each year the children's costumes get less and less creative. They just throw something on and walk around for a few blocks and then go inside. When I was out I used to go right from school till about eight and I had awesome costumes. It just disappoints me the the holiday I loved so much really doesn't exist anymore.

In my search for a better more entertaining Halloween I went to New Brunswick home of Rutgers. This did in fact blow me away. When did Halloween become a day about being scary to being the biggest tramp you can possibly be? Seriously these girls have no shame, and they are ruining the whole spirit of Halloween. You probably already dress like a slut normally why can't you dress like Oprah or hell Drew Carey, but no you have to be a slutty nurse, cop, super-hero,cat, angel ect. it's not even original.
I did see something funny while my Halloween childhood was being raped right in front of me, you see there were obviously many parties going on I mean this is a college campus after all so the police were all over and the cops had flashed their lights on this huge group of kids and all of the sudden I see this kid dress op as Jusus and this kid dress up liked Super Man toss two 40's into a bush and run. I got to witness Jesus and Super Man run from the police and get caught by the police. Hilarious.

I didn't do anything for Halloween except for starting Kingdom Hearts2, I didn't dress as anything when asked who I was for Halloween I just said Dexter Morgan from Dexter literally requires no work hahahhaahhah.

Love,
Steven

i seriously get where your coming from. i mean it use to be about being scary or creating the coolest costume & loading up on candy that would last maybe a week tops. and now a lot of people i know use halloween as a day to dress "sexy" as they call it when in fact they just look cheap. i mean isnt this day suppose to freak you out? all people do is go get wasted. its weird. i get where ur coming from tho. good blog.

I totally know what you mean! Halloween back in my home town used to be like one of the coolest days of the year. Yeah, it's Illinois, so it's always colder than shit, raining/snowing/hailing/or all three at the same time. But everyone would always dress up and have so much fun. We used to make our own costumes, or put together pieces of old ones and be something totally cool. One year, my brother broke his leg like, 2 days before Halloween, but we had him in wheel chair and we were running around town. I guess that was back in the days before parents were so stupid and felt that their children could never leave the house without them.

Designated trick or treating time here in this rat ass town was from 4pm to 7pm. I mean, come on, really? I used to go from like, 3pm til like midnight. There were no limits, it was Halloween, it was a night to let you inhibitions go.

Anyway, I'm sure you don't care too much about this. But this year I dressed up as a robot zombie. The robot part was made out of spraypainted/duct-taped carboard boxes. I thought it was pretty kick ass. We also spent like, $400 on decorations for making our house look so fucking sick, but parents would tell us that they felt it was too much for little kids, and that they weren't going to trick or treat by it. LAME! I wish i didn't have a real job so I could volunteer at the Haunted House like I used to.

yeah i got a lot of trick or treaters last year, not too much this year.  i dont think the spirit is lost, except maybe kids play more video games than before, and are too lazy to walk their fat ass around to get the candy. lol.

but anyways i always had good costumes.  i like the guy on TMZ.com show dressed up as propofol.  that was pretty original.  i want to dress up as like an emo kid, which it would be pretty easy.  but then i could go crazy and get caps for my teeth, eyeliner, and weirdly colored eye shadow to look like they guy from avenged sevenfold in the 'beast and the harlot' video, which for non A7X fans is a pretty cool video i would say.  i also had my lip pierced before, which i hafta get again.  wolverine is a good costume.
