BOB HARRIS PRESENTS at TRUCK FESTIVAL, SUNDAY 26TH JULY, Hill Farm, Steventon
TRUCK is not the only musical institution based in Steventon - the village is also home to broadcasting legend Bob Harris.
This
year we are delighted to announce that the Sunday at Truck will feature
'Bob Harris Presents' on the Market Stage, with an amazing bill of
Americana, Folk and Country acts. As well as introducing the artists,
Bob will briefly interview them live onstage before they play. In Bob's
own words-
"Truck is my local festival- I've been there
right from the first year, it's got a wonderful atmosphere and I'm
thrilled to be a part of it this year."
WEEKEND TICKETS for TRUCK are still available, priced £70 including camping.
If
you'd just like to come for the day, a limited number of SUNDAY TICKETS
are now available, priced £40. Outlets: www.wegottickets.com /

Here's the bill, and Bob's comments on each artist-
Gary Louris & Mark Olson (The Jayhawks)
"I've always loved the Jayhawks and I am so pleased to see Gary & Mark working together again.
Their performance will be one of the highlights of the day."
Hot Club of Cowtown
"I
first saw them at SXSW in 1999, continuing the tradition of the great
Texan Western bands. Their recent session on ‘Bob Harris Country’ was a
sensation."
Mike Heron & Georgia Seddon
"I
first heard Mike Heron making beautiful music with the Incredible
String Band when they were on Elektra in the late 1960’s. Mike is an
artist in the true tradition of Truck festival."
Pete Molinari
"From the Damaged Goods roster, Pete is a young country blues genius from the Medway delta. He looks good and sounds great."
Angie Palmer
"One
of Britain's finest singer-songwriters, Angie is a regular on my Radio
2 Saturday show. She is a trooper…and there’s no greater compliment
than that."
Danny & the Champions of the World
"From
the early days of Grand Drive to the recent e.p. by the Champions of
the World, I've played Danny's music many times on my Radio 2 shows. He
defines the term ‘ragged glory."
Oxygen Ponies
"When
Paul Megna sent me a copy of ‘Harmony Hand Grenade’ I immediately loved
the bleak beauty of it…jaded but hopeful, articulate and compelling."
Eliza Gilkyson and Band
"It
is an honor to have Eliza Gilkyson onstage with me at Truck Fest. She
is one of my favourite writers and is true Austin, Texas musical
royalty.”
