A good friend of mine, vocalist Sue Cho asked me if I was up to doing a remix for an indie-rock original. I've never had a chance to remix such a genre so I jumped the chance. The first time I heard the track I thought to myself ..."Linkin Park!! Which is dope cause I love Linkin park! THe other thing I noticed was that the vocals had a lot of emotion to it so it was easy to get pumped up about it.  I listened to a few of the other Remixes and noticed that there was not much of the original Rock vibe still contained so I took it as an opportunity to stretch the boundaries and shoot for a dirty distorted electro-disco vibe. During my first approach I conjured up a couple nasty synths that fit well together.  I think that super compressed snare makes the song, it gives that final touch for that Indie-disco vibe. Once I found a good Kick/Snare combo it was nasty electro-ness all after that! I had a few different versions laid out but this version ultimately screamed out the instant it starts so I went with it. For the final mastering touches I actually had the help from long time good friend/Producer-Engineer Jon Pegnato. He came in and gave it that extra punch.
