To the reader's,

This is a note from Phil of the band Lloyd Dobbler Effect. If you know of anything or hear anything regarding this issue please contact Miranda. Her info is at the bottom of this letter.

Andrew and Grape Staff

A Complete Nightmare.

We wake up while on tour and go to where our van and trailer was parked
today and the trailer was gone. GONE. STOLEN. Possibly for over a day our
trailer has been missing....we don't know.

We do know that we are completely 100% broken as a band right now. ALL of
our equipment....years and years of instrument and equipment collecting
stolen from us. Our livelihood stolen from us. Materialistically, we have
NOTHING right now.

We had over $90,000 worth of equipment stolen from us today.

We do not know what we are going to do....we had to cancel our two gigs in
Nebraska as well as our showcase in Iowa for this weekend (which we had to
pay a non-refundable $1000 to showcase at).

Why would someone do this? WHY ON EARTH DO PEOPLE DO THIS? I don't know
how to explain to you all how hard we work at what we do and for such small
income. We do not have the money to purchase the equipment that we need to
bring our shows up tot he status we were at just yesterday....we don't know
what we are going to do.

WASH

I had some of my shit stolen at the troc here in Philly, I also have a good idea who took it. all I can say is people who steal from musicians should be shot.
The best thing I have now is insurance. I know were all not making money, however you might want to fight with your car insurance company about this, that's if someone has car insurance. anyway, there are polices that cover trailer's and the equipment in them. We as musicians should learn from this, as we know the band "HEAD" had the same thing happen to them.
I'm no insurance agent, but there was someone messaging around on myspace, saying that they could insure you and prevent this shit from happening.
If you playing in Philly and need to borrow some equipment give me a call.

There are several really good musician specific insurance companies...I know it doesn't help the situation but it is truly a good investment...Check out Clarion and MusicPro Insurance Agency there is a good one through ASCAP that I use. Also WRITE DOWN YOUR SERIAL NUMBERS!!!! It shocks me when people don't even know the license plate number on their car......people are evil sick shitfucks for the most part......I try to remain positive but shit like the nightly news keeps me pretty much without hope. If people knew how hard it was to be in a band they would NEVER download a free fucking song, STEAL gear, heckle bands they don't like...etc. etc. Shit, it isn't even COOL to be in a band anymore......how do we entertain kids that can play three dimensional video games and watch people fuck animals on the internet all day.......................I gotta go to band practice....Again I am sorry.

Later,

Swen Anderson
