Who Gives Kudos:

Thursday, May 17, 2007
Dear All,

It is with a sadness and a heavy heart that I write this but Fell City Girl are no more. Our collective heart stopped beating at the Barfly in London where we played what we decided would be our last show, on March 11th 2007. Our hearts struggled and there were a few huddled tears at where we'd ended up.

As with all break up's, there are a million reasons and none at all. We've been doing this for three years and have achieved what anyone could modestly describe as 'quite a lot' but we ultimately felt we had reached the end of the road with what we were doing as a 4 piece. Think of us as a small blip, albeit one I hope you remember.

This is what happens next - there will be more music, so much more that you can't imagine. There is an album written. There is 'Histories'. We'll post you a blog with full details but we're working round the clock to do something monumental with our lives because surely there's no other choice? Watch this space.

Oh and I (Phil) will be playing a solo show with Richard Walters at the Cellar in Oxford, on June 30th. New songs. Old songs. Come down. Just don't ask me 'why, Phil?' because I will crack up.

Thank you to everyone who helped us along the road. Nothing has ever meant more to me.

Once more, unafraid.

Phil, Joe, Adam and Shrek.
xx

That is indeed very sad news. You have brought the world such great tunes and memories of fantastic live shows; e.g., The Zodiac, December 2005. Anyone who I've badgered to listen to your releases has always remarked on the wonderful songs. You'll be sadly missed, but I salute you for what you have done and wish you all the very best for your futures. Take care & play safe!

For the two of us, for the rest of lives as you're part of our life soundtrack!

Much love,

Kim xxxx

I'm really sorry to hear this, guys. Well, actually I already knew but I refused to believe it until the news was made official.
It really makes me very sad. I'd have loved to see you guys live sometimes and I've been spamming February Snow all over Holland, showing it around whenever I could ;)
I'm glad to hear though that there will be more music. Do keep us updated on what's happening next.

Take care,
Emmi Xxx
