i know, i know, i'm way behind with updating thiss blog with the goings on in my rock and roll world, but i thought i'd at least hit you with a little shamelss self-promotion...

Great article.  The description- "Wyman is a behind-the-scenes guy; a premier Portland producer, mixer and engineer of independent music" sums you up nicely.  I like what you said about MySpace leveling the playing field; very true.  With such a level field, there is more competition.  Like, having a website, or having downloadable tunes no longer makes you a more accessible band, it just makes you level with the rest; it's now just a start. 

Bands will have to push harder, play better live, and most importantly- do something original.
