Hi
been back from the mini tour for a while and had our release party, and been a bit lazy.
The Tour
it was fun, just wished it had been more concerts. Thanks to venues and all the nice people we met.
Café Glocksee, Hannover
nice gig, played on the floor for a mostly sitting audience, had been traveling for 15 hrs straight, so we were a bit tired. Someone filmed parts of Skinflick Dress Rehearsal
Skinflick Glockseedrank some beers and then went to bed
We decided to stay for one more day since we didn't have gig the next day. We went sightseeing, took some goofy band pictures, drank some beer at a place called Böse Der Wolf, learned a strange dice game at turkish bar. And then went to bed.
Sorry Ralph for not eating the wursts with you.!!
Café Steinbruch, Duisberg
Cold venue, warm people. We had a support band, but the only thing I remember from them was that their bass amp died and emitted white smoke, and left the venue smelling of burnt electronics. Remember to use speaker cables!! people.
someone posted a review of the concert( in german)
Steinbruch reviewfrom the slightly weird sentences google translate spit it, I understand that they enjoyed themselves.
We stayed at a very enthusiastic guy called Chris's flat.
He suggested that we should spend our next day off in a town called Göttingen, a beautifull student town with lots of pretty girls apparently, not a very important fact for us (married and in relationships), but it was on the way to Dresden so we thought ok.
It was a nice a picturesque little town, kind off what we imagined a lot of small german towns looked like before we first went to Germany. Had a very good meal, drank some beer, checked out a place we thought looked cool, Spades I think it was called, had a image of Lemmy on the sign.
Unfortunately it was power-metal night or something, so we ended up in a bar that got us quite nostalgic since they only played early 90's music. Nostalgia or not we got into bed early.
AZ Conni, Dresden
We have played this venue before, so nice meeting up with Ralph who booked us the last time too.
There was a very good supportband called The Friendliness Is Going Happy, nice guys too.
Good gig, we managed to entice the audience into joining us on percussion on the end of "How To Evade..", a very nice and magic moment.
Then we drove home
Release Party
Was fun, nice audience, very enthusiastic for being norwegians in Oslo on a sunday. We brought along some guest artists Håvard played sax, Trond our over caffinated duracell bunny percussionist friend was let loose , Jørgen who we had forgotten to ask, sorry, came and played some clarinet....
And Kjetil our former guitarist joined us onstage for three tunes. Strange but nice playing with him again.
The cd is out here in Norway, from what I hear it should be up on emusic, iTunes, amazon etc.. in the near future.
We do the paypal thing if you want to buy directly from us
But other solutions are in the making....
Vinyl
I know we have talked of this and a lot off you have asked for it, it finally looks like it will become a reality at least for "Easily Misunderstood", but not until mid 2009.
It also looks like a vinyl for "Goodbye Melody Mountain" might be released late summer/ early fall 2009.
I'll keep you posted when we know something certain
peace, love & disharmony
Thomas M.
