Hi my loves,

I honestly can't believe you guys even remember any of the home-recorded songs I've put up on this myspace page over the past couple of years, but wonders never cease.

And you all are amazing people….

Due to the kind behest of a dashing friend here on myspace (where is this medieval lingo coming from? Has Disney brainwashed us all?) I've re-recorded, in my Sheri home studio, an old dark Christmas favorite, "Merry Christmas, Jesus, It's Been One Helluva Year."

I sang this song through one live mic, played an acoustic guitar, and here it is…in its raw, natural form. Real.

If you can imagine a dark scene…Charles Bukowski's friend, sitting in a darkly lit, hell-hole of a divebar on Christmas eve, drinking a glass of Budweiser under strings of red and green lights. A darker twist on Chrismas, if you will.

I always wondered if the factories shut down on Christmas. Money is God to some people.

But I hope you enjoy this song. And Merry Christmas to you all.

With love always,
Xoxoxo
Sheri

LYRICS:

Merry Christmas, Jesus, It's Been One Hell Of A Year
(S. Miller)

Merry Christmas is what they tell me
Ye All a good year
But all the company that keeps me
Is this here warm beer

Under the lights, red and green
Flashing in this bar room scene
Merry Christmas, patron saints
Jesus, it's been one hell of a year

Merry Christmas, feel the spirit
Spend your every last quarter and dime
After slaving hours in factories
Blinded into the night

Under the harsh white lights
Where workers are crucified
So their families survive
Merry Christmas, to the people
Jesus, it's been one hell of a year

Come all ye faithful, it don't mean a thing
I reach out my cup, but they keep on walking
There's no relief from all this suffering

Solo

Merry Christmas is what they sell me
Ye all a good year
But I'm searching in this lonely city
For an honest face of cheer

Under the northern sky
Where every star can shine
A chance to see Orion

Merry Christmas, this holy city
Jesus, it's been one hell of a year
Merry Christmas, holy city
Jesus, it's been one hell of a year

Beautiful and from the heart. A star proves his/her worth when you hear just the singer and a single instrument. You have more than proved your worth here. You ARE a star, Sheri. But I think you know that deep inside you. Thank you for continuing to thrill me with who you are.

With love & light,

Alan
