First of all I would like to thank you for your interest in the Edward Ballister Project. I began writing the first chapter of Edward awhile back and paused to finish up another story that I had in the works. While I was writing that story, I began to read some of the blogs posted by my friends on Myspace. I started reading Jessica Lynne’s work as well as Charlotte Gledsons. I approached both of them not really expecting a reply, but was surprised to find that both were not only interested but excited about the idea of creating a tale using the imaginations of a multitude of wordsters like yourselves.
Here are a few things that, to keep a little bit of order and to help you decide if this is something that you want to be a part of, must be in place:
- Only those who I have assigned a chapter may submit.
-The chapters need to be between two and three thousand words and a maximum of around ten pages, 12 point font, double spaced.
-Any proceeds from The Edward Ballister Project will be divided equally between all contibuting writers.
-The Edward Ballister Project will maintain all rights to each writer’s contributions to edit, include or not include their submissions in the final piece.
I think for anyone who does decide that this is something they would like to be a part of, it will be beneficial to encourage an interactive writing community.
Edward Ballister is a dark tale of a youth who is forced into dealing with the darkness that lies within himself and his surroundings. It is beautifully written, and the style of each individual writer shines in every unique chapter. There is freedom within this tale should you take on this task So feel free to be creative, dark, and oh so twisted.
Thank you for your interest.
