THIN LIZZY

20/20 TOUR

UK & EUROPEAN LIVE TOUR 2006

Thin Lizzy is one of rock musics most recognizable names. The fiery Dublin band exploded onto the scene with a fresh sound, look and attitude. Lead by the incomparable Phil Lynott, the band reached many peaks and influenced generations of musicians. Most rock historians would agree the pinnacle of their commercial success was in 1983, followed by the bands premature demise, as they played their last gig in September of 1984. Just two years later, the world was shocked when singer/bassist and founding member Phil Lynott passed away at the age of thirty six.

Twenty years have passed, the world has changed, but the amazing body of work that is Thin Lizzy still retains all of its vibrancy. In remembrance of the of the bands founder, Thin Lizzy, comprised of alumni Scott Gorham and John Sykes, along with Marco Mendoza (bass) and Michael Lee (drums), will embark on what they have dubbed the 20/20 Tour.

Twenty years, twenty dates; one for each year Phils been gone. We need to remember and never forget his gift. The music needs to be played, the Thin Lizzy fans deserve a place to gather, and Phils memory along with Thin Lizzy, should be kept alive for generations to discover, states Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham.

The band will be performing all of the hits and a selection of rarities that they have been saving up for a moment like the 20/20 Tour. The band, famous for hits like Jailbreak and The Boys Are Back In Town, plans to reach deep inside the extensive catalogue for some true Thin Lizzy gems.

We have a few surprises planned, but what were really doing here is having a celebration. Life should be celebrated, it is very precious. Im proud to be a part of Thin Lizzy and to have been Phils band mate and friend was a blessing. I miss him and think of him often. His legacy needs to live on and grow; these twenty shows will serve as a reminder of his greatness and the legacy of Thin Lizzy, adds vocalist/guitarist John Sykes.

Select dates will include a video projection backdrop and LIVE NATION recordings of that evenings performance. The band wants to reconnect and re-energize with what they consider the best fans in the world.

The twenty city tour is set to kick off, appropriately on St. Patricks Day at The Point, in Dublin, Ireland. Full tour dates are as follows:

Thanks a lot for adding us because we are Thin Lizzy's fans from years & years ago... Even if we got a tiny audience at Sonic Ballroom (Koln),April 1st because of Thin Lizzy playing in the same town.

What a fantastic idea, the 20/20 tour. I wish I could be there for any of the dates. If you ever get to Boise, Idaho, I'm there. Good luck. Do "Dancing in the Moonlight".

I saw the tour in 2005, when it visited Llandudno, wow despite not having the great Phil at the front, the band where amazing, and they still got the swapping lead guitars perfectly.

It was also really cool with the amount of youngsters their like me, who where to young to see the band in their hayday.

Phil Lives on

Yay!

Is there a chance of a tour Down Under?

We, especially the Irish Aussies, love Thin Lizzy, so it would be a dream come true if you toured here, even without Phil [RIP].

Please take this into consideration.
