So Christmas is coming. And i'm pretty darn happy about it. We're not decorating the house nearly fast enough, as there's this terribly annoying thing called busy schedules and finals getting in the way, but it'll happen. So will making cookies. Hordes and hordes of cookies. I shall have a small army of them.

So I went to go get a haircut with my mom today, we go to this lady's house we've known forever, and she's a social worker during the week and hairdresser on the weekend. And we were discussing how Costco sells everything, and how the fact that they sell caskets on your way out is slightly disturbing. And she counters with, that's not that bad, because this week, on Monday, the mother of a family she's working with was murdered, so her two children were placed in foster care, and for the rest of the week she had to retrieve belongings from the crime scene, tell the children how their mother died, try to get custody to their godparents because the relatives were aweful people, testify on tape and in court, etc. So great. There went all the happiness in me for the rest of the day.

I'm sick now. Or I strained my throat from singing yesterday at the Choir concert, because there were 5 altos and 40+ sopranos and such, so for anything to be heard from the altos you had to sing LOUD. How bothersome really.

My brother's coming home today for christmas break, should be great. I have to research more on his birthday present, so we'll see if we get that to him in time.

And I'm sketching set designs, have a portrait commission in the works, a butt-load of artwork to finish, and a lot of tv to veg on. Because I am so sick of studying and working and school and college apps and scholarship apps and I just want to sit down and veg on tv, or a good movie, or a really good book.

We're getting solar panels. There's a guy at my house right now talking to us about his company, and then we'll make a decision and pick one among the many who've been contacting us, and then we'll get solar panels. And be more eco friendly. Proud I am.
