Current mood:  chipper
Graduated Thursday, went to Sober Grad, left early and stargazed in the back of my truck with some of my closest friends for a while before we got paranoid (thanks a lot Adana) and left. But we saw shooting stars, and we felt so small out there under that enormous night sky, and it was amazing.

This year was the largest graduating class in our school's history, with around 860 students in our senior class. We started out with 1,000 at the beginning of the year. Imagine the size of our class as a freshman. And since each person got 9 tickets for family members to attend, that's roughly the population of madera in the stands. Lol. For proof, here's some photos.

So I'm currently sitting in my bathrobe (as I seem to do everyday), trying to keep my mother out of my room every 2 minutes and attempting to gather together the best clothes for a 2 week stay on the European continent, where in comparison to here, they're still hanging on to our end-of-winter weather. So I'm digging up all the sweaters and long-sleeved shirts I've put away weeks ago and completing all sorts of forms and assignments so I can get college credit for my vacation over the Atlantic. It's exciting to say the least, and I get the opportunity to escape for a while from all the things that have become stagnant here and return with fresh eyes...hopefully the return won't be too traumatic. I'm not sure how the transition back to less than 200 years of history will fare from the much more intriguing 2000+ years of history over there.

By the way, I hate American architecture and the North American continent's lack of limestone. Makes for buildings composed of steel, drywall, and concrete. Give me neo-classical styling and Corinthian columns! I WANT THEM! :cries:

Other than that, I've got some very late commissions to finish for friends and ex-classmates, and I've got some personal projects I want to try over the summer. I also want to go see all the movies that I've not been seeing because I've been hording all the money I have like a rabid squirrel for this trip. I'm going to be so broke...again...which reminds me...I need to get a job.

Which also reminds me...I need to go to the Island Waterpark and visit my friends working there over the summer...or mock them...hehehe...

I never realized that... about the architecture, I mean. Have fun in Europe. Lucky :)
